The Championship

"And go!" shouted the coach.

Cathy, the first person in line shoots and... scores! Next, its my turn and I dribble twice trying to do my free throw just like every other as I was told to do so. I miss, but quickly get my rebound and go back in for a layup. Audry, the person behind me, missed their first shot leaving Danielle, the person behind Audry, to determine the first person out. She shoots and scores. Audry is the first person out and will not be receiving a prize in this Knock Out competition.

The game continues with free throws made until everyone gets out except Cathy and I. We swooshed free throw after free throw until we were both very out of breath and could hardly dribble the ball anymore. Finally, I miss, but make my layup before she gets back to the free throw line. Cathy misses her next free throw giving me a chance to win, but I miss mine too. So we go on for a few minutes, shot after shot missing two foot shots in our exhaustion. Eventually, Cathy makes her shot and slowly dribbles back to the free throw line for victory. However, I make my layup and dribble up right behind her. Cathy pauses for a bit at the free throw line, trying to using up time to catch her breath. She shoots her free throw, and misses to where her ball bounced back several feet. I miss my free throw too and a few layups while she runs to get her ball. When Cathy returned and missed her layup she then threw her ball purposely at mine in order to give her a better chance to win. However, when her ball bounced off of mine, it went in the basket, making her winner, even though she cheated.

*The reason that this is not understandable at all is that you cannot announce a game, especially a basketball game and have your readers understand it, which is why there aren't as many basketball books and movies as with other sports.
